WinGIS gathers "site usage" information from all visitors to the WinGIS internet sites. Such data is used in the aggregate, to help determine general usage patterns and fine tune layout in order to ensure that our sites are as useful and enjoyable as possible. As mentioned above, we reserve the right to share aggregated "site usage" information with third parties.
This website displays data administered by WinGIS consortium agencies, including Winnebago County, Illinois. Consortium agencies are subject to a variety of state statutes governing public records and privacy rights. The law recognizes that it is not an invasion of privacy to communicate any information available to the public as a matter of public record. WinGIS will provide certain public records in an electronic format via the Internet as a service to the community.
